American Red Cross A community ready and prepared for disaster

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Without our volunteers, donors, and partners, our mission wouldn't be possible

All people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter, and hope. Our communities are ready and prepared for disaster.

Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer.

The American Red Cross could not accomplish its mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies without our wonderful supporters who give of themselves to sustain the work we do.

Each day, our supporters put the lifesaving Red Cross mission into action in communities across the country and around the world.

The ARC promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace among all peoples. It makes no discrimination.

There can only be one Red Cross society in any one country. It must be open to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory. It must give love.

American red cross employees bring our diverse background and skills to the table, united by the passion we share for our mission-to prevent and alleviate suffering in the face of emergencies.

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

The Red Cross aims to turn compassion into action so that our communities are ready and prepared for disasters and everyone in the country has access to safe, life-saving blood and blood products. All people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter, and hope.

The ARC strives to attract and involve a diverse and multi-skilled volunteer work force. To prepare volunteers to participate in this vital mission, the Red Cross provides training for most volunteer positions.

We strive to improve the quality of human life; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; to help people avoid, prepare for, and cope with emergencies.

We are american red cross

Expand visibility of the American Red Cross among government officials and strategic partners, advocate for public policy priorities, identify and pursue future funding and cost saving opportunities and strengthen relationships with the US Congress, Federal agencies, state and local officials, and other nonprofit organizations. It all depends on the generosity of our volunteers and donors to make the dream of saving lives come true.

American Red Cross shows their gratitude by mailing our letters commending people for their contributions. Last year, in Valdosta, Georgia, an average of 115 people donated to the American Red Cross organization. This year, the number of donations doubled because of hurricane Katrina.

When it comes to helping you, some people stop at nothing.

The Red Cross has had a massive impact on our culture as Americans and have made even more of an impact on an individual community basis.

never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens could change the world. indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
Thank you.
