Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jennifer McCormick, visits Boone Meadow Elementary School
Students at Boone Meadow Elementary School had the opportunity to show the State Superintendent of Public Instruction what learning looks like in Zionsville Community Schools. Boone Meadow was on a select list of schools that welcomed Dr. McCormick to observe their learning.
Boone Meadow Principal Mr. Tom Hundley worked with teachers in various grade levels to participate and demonstrate their learning. ZCS Superintendent Scott Robison, State Senator Phil Boots, district officials, school board members and local media toured the classrooms with Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana Superintendent of Public Education.
Dr. McCormick interacted with staff, students and school board members about the applications of technology in the classroom. Multiple learning spaces throughout the building were engaged in coding at the time of her visit.
Dr. McCormick visited classrooms throughout Boone Meadow Elementary School.
Dr. McCormick and district leaders observed and interacted with Boone Meadow Elementary School students to learn more about the application of technology in the classroom.
Students had an opportunity to showcase their learning.
It is exciting to share innovative learning with leaders who are guiding the direction of public education. Leaders learn from observing and interacting with the children. It is an opportunity to see first-hand what is engaging for our students today.
