On Monday 17th of October we boarded for the uknown, both excited and wondering if this was the right thing we were doing. Still at first, excitment was definitely the main feeling

Of course, as a respect to our french & lithuanian culture, our first contact with South Africa happened with beer & food :)

Then it all started in MABONENG PRECINT, Johannesburg.
Then we went exploring. We climbed up some rooftops of Johannesburg
Got to know the story of SOWETO

Tasted traditionnal “student's sandwich“ (Yummy :)

...and “Umqombothi“ - local Xhosa beer (much less yummy :)

& How to drink it properly :

VIBRANT - this is our word for Joburg
Apartheid Museum gave us goosebumps - a must visit when in Joburg

We survived the first week! Already with the good portion of WOWs and excited, that there is much more yet to come

+1 week : we move to Cape Town

FIRST, WE EXPLORED

WALKING, RIDING, DRIVING

Table Mountain hike
Long Street Art
Don't worry, she did not drive :)

We disconnected the brains and went surfing

That's WHY we disconnected the brain

We also worked, a bit :)

SHOTS opening campaign, 100% home-made in South Africa :)

Everyday SA gave us a new stunning scenery

Scarborough Beach
Table Mountain
Fish Hoeck
Constantia Wineyards, “The Eagle Nest“
Scarborough river mouth
Lion's Head
Table Mountain
City Bowl by night
The misty hills
Cape Point
We were BIEN at the Cape of Good Hope!

+ 1 month : 1st big road trip, Western Cape

One way by the ocean...
... & the way back inland
Through endless deserts
full of glamorous creatures
& by South African roads :)
We walked the desert, looking for the first Street Artworks (just above the head of the big european with the beard, a drawing from the first men).
& No matter the desert, some of us always found a way...
... no kidding :)

MORE NEW HOMES, FRIENDS AND STUNNING MEMORIES EVERYDAY

SOME, BIGGER THAN OTHERS

YEAH, WE WERE UNDERCOVER THERE

In the West Coast landscapes are changing every few kilometers
Sometimes even the ocean's giants pass by to say hi!
Cape Aghulas, where the Indian & the Atlantic Ocean merge.
We surfed the legend - “Supertubes“ at Jeffrey's Bay
or at least a foam of Supertubes!
J-Bay locals (yes, those are 🐬)
+7 weeks : we fly EAST

to another South Africa

Wet,
Dense,
Tropical.
Entering the KwaZulu Natal
Tugela Falls' walk...
... & climb ...
... to the 2nd highest waterfall in the world (900m. high)
Choose your car well :)
Afrikan cooking
& Afrikan traffic jam

It takes all this, to access the most unexpected spots

Such as ADAM's CALENDAR, that might be the oldest man-made structure on this planet (75 000 years)

OUR LIFE IS APPROX. 4680 WEEKS LONG

SO KEEP THEM PRECIOUS

AN GO EXPLORING!

WITH LOVE, INDRE + MAX
