What is the main role of DNA? The main role of DNA in the cell is the long-term storage of information. It is often compared to a blueprint, since it contains the instructions to construct other components of the cell, such as proteins and RNA molecules.

What is the main roles of mRNA? is translated into protein by the joint action of transfer RNA and the ribosome, which is composed of numerous proteins and two major ribosomal RNA molecules.

What is the main roles of tRNA? The key to deciphering the code words in mRNA. Each type of amino acid has its own type of tRNA, which binds it and carries it to the growing end of a polypeptide chain if the next code word on mRNA calls for it.

What is DNA replicant?DNA replication is the biological process of producing two identical replicas of DNA from one original DNA molecule. This process occurs in all living organisms and is the basis for biological inheritance. DNA is made up of a double helix of two complementary strands.

Transcription involves four steps: Initiation. The DNA molecule unwinds and separates to form a small open complex, Elongation:RNA polymerase moves along the template strand, synthesising an mRNA molecule, Termination: In prokaryotes there are two ways in which transcription is terminated, and Processing.

The steps for ribosomes: the ribosome binds to mRNA at a specific area. The ribosome starts matching tRNA anticodon sequences to the mRNA codon sequence. Each time a new tRNA comes into the ribosome, the amino acid that it was carrying gets added to the elongating polypeptide chain.

Where does Translation occur? In bacteria, translation occurs in the cytoplasm, where the large and small subunits of the ribosome bind to the mRNA. In eukaryotes, translation occurs in the cytosol or across the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum in a process called vectorial synthesis.
