Men's #CAAHoops Semifinals Recap UNCW and charleston advance to championship final

SEMIFINAL 1: UNCW 104, William & Mary 95

Denzel Ingram and Chris Flemmings paced an outstanding offensive effort with 27 and 26 points, respectively, to help top-seeded UNCW advance to the finals of the 2017 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship for the second straight year

UNCW upped its own program record for wins, moving to 28-5 overall. Ingram nailed six three-pointers to go along with eight assists in the win, while Flemmings had five rebounds and went a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line.

The Seahawks, appearing in the semifinals for the third straight season, head back to the title contest after taking home the CAA title last year

SEMIFINAL 2: Charleston 67, Towson 59

Towson took a 26-21 lead into the half and didn't give up the lead until just 6:01 remaining in the game.

Joe Chealey scored 25 of his 29 points in the second half, and junior Cameron Johnson scored all of his seven points in the final five minutes to lift Charleston over the Tigers

Charleston (25-8) makes its first-ever appearance in the CAA title game to take on top-seeded UNCW
