Good bye 2016
2016 has come and gone but we still have memories to share: office parties, SIA's concert, hockey games at the Bell Center, our annual baking contest, Santa's visit, and gift exchanges ...
In this capsule we are lucky to share pics of new L'Oréal babies!
Proud daddy Mathieu Gouin from our merchandising team and lovely mommy Karine are happy to introduce their third child Olivia who was born on November 22nd 2016 at 3:41 a.m. at 7.4 pounds.
Birth went well ... both baby Olivia and mommy Karine did amazingly well, said Mathieu.
And he added to his note: I am now safe to say our family is complete :) !
Before Olivia, Julie Horil from our Garnier team proudly introduced us to her new baby boy, Noah!
It s a boy! Noah est ne samedi le 5 novembre, avec un beau 8lbs 3oz. Toute la famille se porte a merveille. Ne reste plus qu a venir vous le presenter bientot :)
And our CPD family will keep on growing
Congratulations to Stephanie Cimon (from the SDM team at Toronto) and her husband who are now expecting their first child.
L'Oréal entered a long-term partnership and the Share & Care Program was created for you for be in a place:
- Where you feel financially secure, now and for the future
- Where you can take care of your health in the long term
- Where your personal life is as fulfilling as your professional one
- Where the workplace is organized to make your life easier
This partnership is the cornerstone of our Share & Care program, and is represented in four pillars:
In this capsule, we want to congratulate Eleanor Chou from our SDM team at Toronto who decided to take a sabbatical, part of the Protect pillar from this fabulous program .
And we want to welcome back Cristin Tedford, who has returned from her sabbatical and has joined the Toronto team again.

The 'X' Files
A new team is being prepared as part of the X-TEL project. Finally a one-stop shop tool including sell in/sell out, POS, inventory and providing a clear understanding of catalogue to CaConso.
Here is a picture of all X-Tel key users!
Good deeds from our MNY/Essie team
In December, our Maybelline/Essie team had a baking day where they prepared treats for an after school Youth Program at the Tyndale St Georges Community Kitchen.
They baked for the kids and brought product gift bags as well. Super nice initiative that Valerie Guille led!
Design drama for every office
During the last Info Session, Mr. Kollmar, our President and CEO, announced that our offices were going to be fully transformed. The program for this transformation is called STEP!
STEP has several impacts on the way CPD offices are organized. Offices will be reorganized and a space that better reflects our way of working will be designed. Until such organization is complete, CPD is called on to collaborate and to adjust. Space is currently critical, therefore, we can see more shared working spaces allowing all collaborators to complete their business days.
Lack of meeting rooms? See with Angela Isaza to reserve Alanna McDonald's office while she is absent or traveling for business.
We can all contribute during this transition. And imagine the FUN we will have once all the construction is over!
