With technology five years in the making, the company was founded with the purpose of providing meaningful and accessible water knowledge for everyone. Water Quality Testing Redefined
The Water Shield is a revolutionary tap water analyzer for your home. As the first and only smart home water monitor, it promises to renew trust our tap water.
The Water Shield features easy, do-it-yourself installation under the kitchen sink and full automation by the user's mobile phone. It is capable of monitoring dynamic threats throughout the year through scheduled and on-demand testing. The Water Shield makes it possible to detect 7 water chemistry parameters with high accuracy and benchmark your water's quality against established safe drinking standards set forth by the WHO and EPA. Tailored recommendations empower users with knowledge to address specific issues with their water quality and reduce their exposure to harmful contaminants.
Crowdfunding
As a pre-production consumer product, the Water Shield will initially sell on popular crowdfunding platforms. Pre-orders will take place on Kickstarter beginning November 1st, 2017 with a target ship date of July 2018. All orders will be be managed through BackerKit's industry-leading fulfillment platform. Founders
Munir Eldesouki, President & Co-Founder
Senior executive with a track record of managing and driving new levels of operational efficiency in large corporations (managing over 400 employees) that deal with global businesses in highly regulated environments. Leverages extensive knowledge of intellectual property generation, acquisition and management, in addition to negotiation skills, to direct the seamless execution of business-critical initiatives and R&D projects. Munir has over 15 years' of experience, from which, the last 6 are in a senior managerial role. Munir attained his PhD in Electronics from McMaster University and has contributed to over 80 publications and holds 20 patents.
Hamed Jafari, CEO & Co-Founder
A specialist in integrated circuits, Hamed has over 10 years' experience in chip design and low-power mixed signal circuits. Having attained his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, he has since completed multi-million dollar projects for camera design and an automated, portable electrochemical lab. Hamed has contributed to over 20 publications and holds 1 patent.
