From the President's Desk
Christmas draws near, and all the hopes and fears of the year likewise draw to an end. We begin each year with hope and excitement about what will happen and end it with a mixture of pleasure and regret. We never do all that we hope for, and yet we do much more than we planned to. It is precisely with that realization can we faithfully analyze the end of the academic semester and the midpoint in the school year.
We had a wonderful semester, filled with prayer and playing, study and sports. Games played, contests won; the school gained a Football championship, being part of a state football team with Lisbon, for the first time in more than 70 years! (We have been playing with them for the past three years.) Our students experienced drama (on stage). They experienced corn hole toss and movies under the stars. They have danced and eaten way too much of Chef Joe's excellent food! No voyage is without storms, rough waters being part of the journey. A sturdy vessel can weather them all, and St. Dom's is one such vessel.
As the seasons change, so does the school. Mr. Lachapelle has completed his time with us, and we wish him well as he travels on to Florida. Mr. Yorkey, a seasoned administrator, will be working with me to run the high school. Mrs. Stevenson will be running the middle school as well as the lower campus. I will continue to oversee the entire school. Mrs. Deblois will be staying on to help guide the juniors and seniors as they plan for college and we will hire a full-time counselor at the start of the next school year.
In the arts, we have formed a relationship with Community Little Theater and engaged CLT affiliated Director, Kay Warren to direct the musical Aladdin Jr. This relationship will allow our students more significant opportunities with a local known and respected institution while still making sure our kids are part of a high quality and faith-filled theater program.
As our second semester takes off, keep a weather eye out for news and new improvements. With so many great people, wonderful things might just happen. I would bet on it!
Merry Christmas and May the Lord be born in us anew.
'O Little Child of Bethlehem, come down to us we pray, Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be Born in us Today.'
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Luke 2:13-14
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Pax et Bonum,

Info From Our College Advisor
Senior Grades Do Matter
Many colleges have contacted us for 1st quarter grades, and all those requests have been fulfilled. It is standard practice that our Semester 1 grades will be uploaded through the Common App the first week in January. Also, it is required that we submit year-end grades for all applicants as well. So, Seniors, you are on the home stretch, but you can't stop working!
