Compensate

Definition-Give (someone) something, typically money,

Example- After the car wreck, Jenny received a compensation of 20,000 dollars for her injuries.

Conceive

Conceive- form or a plan or idea

Example- As the author sat at his desk, he conceived his next idea about his next book

Derive

Definition- obtain something from a specified source.

Example- As I walked into the store I derived information from the cashier about where the next gas station is.

Diversity

Definition- A range of different things, variety.

Example- Grandview High school is a diverse school.

Inhibit-

Definition- Make someone self-conscious and unable to act in a relaxed and natural way.

Example- As the doctor walked into the patient's room, she became very inhibited towards her.

Moderate-

Definition- Average in amount, intensity, quality, or degree.

Example- During John's diet, he was required to eat a moderate amount of meat each day.

Supplement-

Definition- Something that completes or enhances something else when added to it.

Example- The vitamin supplement to her drink each morning made her feel refreshed and ready for the day.

Surpass-

Definition- Exceed; be greater than.

Example- The boy's test scores exceeded his teacher's expectations.

Tentative-

Definition- Not certain or fixed.

Example- Josh wasn't tentative after he woke up from his long nap

Verify-

Definition- Make sure or demonstrate that something is true or accurate

Example- As the girl made her school account, she had to verify her email address as a safety precaution.
