Seventh grade classroom reading teacher in Galena Park ISD. Motivate students to learn with engaging student centered lessons. Manage classroom and teaching responsibilities to include: submitting lesson plans, LEP paperwork, 504 paperwork in a timely manner. Actively participate in planning meetings, staff developments and other district training sessions. Accompanist for band and choir solo/ensemble contest.

This Africa Light of Mine - Director 10/08 - Present
Founded this non-profit in 2008 to support a school in the Kawangware Slum of Nairobi, Kenya. Currently I direct activities to raise funds to support a slum school in Nairobi, Kenya, where we feed and educate 400 children daily. Includes: speaking, writing proposals, contacting organizations and fundraisers, and many other activities.
Correspond directly with the director of Africa Light Christian Education Center to ascertain needs and distribute funding.
Administrative details to include: bookkeeping, budgeting and 501(c)(3) compliance issues.
