The Civil war in Sudan started by longstanding issues heightened by then President Jaafar Nimeiri’s decision to introduce Sharia law. The broke out because the government did not like what the laws they had to follow and declared law on South Sudan. When the war ended in 2005 the people of South sudan defended their honor and left Two and a half million dead. And over 500,000 wounded.
