Advocacy Day 2017 American Organization of Nurse Executives

AONE this week hosted its annual Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 100 nurse leaders from across the country took to Capitol Hill to advocate for Reauthorization of Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development programs and FY 2018 funding for these programs.

They also emphasized the need to fund the National Institute of Nursing Research and the Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act. Additionally, they explained to Senate offices how the House-passed American Health Care Act would negatively impact coverage, particularly for older individuals, children and those with pre-existing conditions such as cancer and chronic conditions.
