Who do I admire? What qualities do I admire about them?
One person I admire is my best friend, Kylee. I admire her because she always pushes me to being the best person I can be. Kylee has always been here for me, even when I’m not being a good friend. She always supports me and encourages me to be proud of who I am. She gives the best advice and never lets me give up. Without Kylee, I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today.
What do I want to contribute to the world?
As someone who struggled with the idea of self love, I want to be able to encourage other people to find little things they love about themselves. I was lucky enough to find amazing friends who encouraged me to learn to love myself, and I want to do the same for other people. My goal is to help at least one person, but I hope I can go beyond that. I want to help as many people as possible.
What would I like to be able to tell my grandchildren I had done?
I want to be able to tell my grandchildren that I changed the world. Even if what I do hardly makes a mark in the entirety of existence, I want to be able to honestly say that I somehow was able to significantly alter the course of someone’s life for the better. Whether through music, poetry, or a story, I want to be able to say that I encouraged people to keep trying, just like musicians and authors have done for me. One example of a book that has encouraged me is Note to Self by Connor Franta.

If everything were to go as well as possible, what would life look like at 30?
If everything goes as well as possible, by the time I’m 30, I’ll have published a poetry book, or maybe a few other books too. I want to publish a poetry book because I really love writing poetry and I think it’s a great way to express my view on the world and the way I feel. I would also like to be able to publish the music I’ve written, because music is a great way for me to connect to other people.
What kinds of careers make sense to me now?
As someone who wants to have an impact on the world, I think the most reasonable careers for me include being an author or a musician. Writing has always been something I’d like to do as a career, because I enjoy it and writing helps me better understand myself. The same goes with music. Lyrics, chords, and instruments make me feel more connected with myself and with the people around me.
My Purpose
A lot of people struggle with the question, what’s the purpose? What’s the point of me being here? And I think right now, I’m just trying to create the beginning of my purpose. Art is my way of creating the beginning of purpose. I use creativity to make something only I understand. In the long run, I think a big part of my purpose is to help other people. I want to be a source of hope for the people who feel hopeless.
