A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MRS. RICCARDO...

Hello, Harbour Pointe! It is with great anticipation for a wonderful Spring Drama season that I announce our 2020 HPMS Musical is "The Music Man - Jr". Those of you that followed the clues closely, should have noticed that the first letter of each clue, spelled out "Music Man". The clue was right in front of you from the very beginning!!!

This is a delightful, funny, light show with a variety of characters and music. Music Man will bring laughter to the audience and absolutely be a fun one to direct and for you, the student body, to be involved in! All the particulars are on the Drama Bulletin Board, outside of the Student Services, plus special invites will be given to choir, orchestra and band members; however, this is open to any 6th, 7th or 8th grader that has an interest for participating in a musical.

A fun fact? Mr. Sullivan, the Drama Director at Kamiak played the lead role of Harold Hill, his senior year in high school! He is very excited that Harbour Pointe is doing this production. There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested on Thursday - January 23 at 2:45 in W210. I will be going over the characters needed and how to fill out the audition packets. Anyone interested is invited to attend, although it is not required. Questions? Stop in and see me in W210, and please follow the chatter on the Drama Bulletin Board.... ~Mrs. Riccardo

MUKILTEO SCHOOL DISTRICT 2019-2020 STUDENT CALENDAR

2019-2020 STUDENT CALENDAR

Below is the link to the 2019-2020 student calendar. Please note that on most Fridays students will be released 75 minutes early - that's 1:30PM for middle schools. Lunch will be served on these days.

NEW COMMUNICATION TOOLS

FLYERS ARE GOING DIGITAL

Say goodbye to crumpled flyers at the bottom of student backpacks that surface after an opportunity has passed. Our school district is implementing an electronic flyer distribution system. Families will get flyers in their email inbox instead. The new distribution system, Peachjar, will launch Jan. 16.

Schools and outside organizations will have a more accessible, environmentally friendly and interactive way of sharing flyers and newsletters. Primary guardians with an email address on file at their child’s school will automatically begin receiving flyers by email. If a family member would like to also receive them, they can subscribe on the school website after January 16.

LISTSERV IS RETIRING

The subscription-based email ListServ expired on Friday, January 10. The server that houses ListServ and its contacts has been wiped clean, decommissioned and given a proper “retirement celebration.” To stay in touch with SCHOOL DISTRICT announcements, events and school board news, please subscribe to the new e-newsletter (link is below):

Schools that used ListServ (like HPMS) have transitioned to Blackboard Connect, our existing mass communication system, to reach families with SPECIFIC SCHOOL INFO.

If you are the primary guardian already listed at your child’s school, you don’t need to do anything; you will continue receiving messages from your child’s school. (Just make sure we have a current email or phone number on file.)

If you are NOT receiving messages via Blackboard, you want to add a family member or you want to change the way you receive messages (email, text and/or phone call), click on the link below. (You will need your student's ID number to join.)
