Buckeye Boys State & Buckeye Girls State is a week-long program designed to educate Ohio's young men & women in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of good citizenship. By getting involved in the process, delegates learn more about city, county, and state government in one week than they will in an entire semester of high school.

Continued Partnership with the

Derby Junior Garden Club

Established in 2012. Volunteers include Derby Garden Club Members, 3 County Master Gardeners, Parents of Derby Junior Garden Club Members, Darby Township Trustees, and Community residents. The goals of the Junior Garden club are the following: The kids will find the joy and benefits of gardening. They will use their math, and science skills/knowledge. They will develop a respect and responsibility for our environment. They will be introduced to different vegetables and encouraged to include more in their diet. They will see the benefit of working together to ease the burden of a task. They will have a feeling of community by sharing the fruits of their labors with others.

WEF MANAGING WESTFALL ELEMENTARY

“Field of Dreams” Fund

The “Field of Dreams” fund was established in 2007 with an anonymous grant of $20,000, to provide enrichment programs to the elementary school’s curriculum.
