A DAY TO INSPIRE On June 16, 2018, more than 450 women gathered at the Ohio Union to connect, share and learn.

Our first Women's Leadership Symposium, a new partnership between alumni associations of The Ohio State University and Ohio University, felt a little bit magical.

Over eight hours and 20 sessions, we discovered new and empowering ways to navigate the world as women.

We engaged with thought leaders and accomplished alumni from both universities on topics ranging from careers and leadership to health and wellness.

In each session, we leaned into the discussion — elbows on tables, hands raised, questions asked, stories shared.

We heard a joyful, compelling keynote address from former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown.

It was titled: "Let's Get Gritty."

"Don’t give someone else responsibility for your career," she told us. "If you want something, go after it yourself."

And we capped the day with an irreverent Q&A with BrewDog USA CEO Tanisha Robinson. She didn't hold back.

“I enjoy being underestimated so much — I’ve gotten over having people like me.”

If you joined us, we were thrilled to have you there. Thank you for sharing your time, your experiences and your stories.

You made this a truly inspiring day.
