Alexander Hamilton

Hamilton was born on January 11, 1755 in Saint Kitts and Nevis, and island in the Caribbean. When he was only 10 years old his father left, and his mother passed when he was only 13 leaving him an orphan.

In 1773, when he was around 16 years old, Hamilton arrived in New York, where he enrolled in King's College (later renamed Columbia University).

In 1777, Alexander Hamilton was hired as George Washington's assistant.

Alexander met his wife, Elizabeth Schuyler, and married on December 14, 1780.

Philip Hamilton, Alexanders young son died when he was only 19 years old in a duel he fought in the name of his father.

Aaron Burr and Hamilton duel at Weehawken, New Jersey on July 11th, 1804. That is the day Hamilton died
