Meet Mallory Bickett "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" - Nelson mandela

About me

Dedicated to life-long learning and motivated by student progress, I entered the world of education with a passion to change lives. As I approach graduation, I have never been more confident that elementary education is the career for me. Above all, I believe in establishing positive relationships and building a classroom community in which students feel safe, loved, and valued. I strive to establish this environment from the beginning of the year by creating expectations and holding my students to a high standard. In my classroom, I will provide opportunities for all students to reach their full potential and try their best in all endeavors.

Making slime to address sequencing component from RI.3.8: Describe the logical connection between particular sentences and paragraphs in a text (e.g., comparison, cause/effect, first/second/third in a sequence)
Students worked towards RI.3.8: Describe the logical connection between particular sentences and paragraphs in a text (e.g., comparison, cause/effect, first/second/third in a sequence). After reading a variety of passages using multiple text structures, students had to label the passages with their structure. Once they correctly identified a passage, they could get it checked to receive a piece of the leprechaun. Each correctly identified passage correlated with a body part, and they could put it together once they received all of the pieces.
