Ramadan is a holiday lasting a month observed worldwide in the Muslim community by fasting. The month lasts 29-30 days. The Muslims fast from dawn till dusk, only eating when the sun is not out.

Not all muslims take part in the fasting, the sick, pregnant, and children are not required to fast.

The holiday starts on Friday, May 26 this year. It will end on Sunday, June 25

During Ramadan, they also do five daily prayers to show their devotion to Mecca.
