Where did the universe begin? This is a question that many people throughout history have thought about.

Initially it was thought that the Earth was the centre of the universe. This is called a geocentric universe.

Then people began to predict that the Sun was the centre of the universe. This is called a heliocentric universe.

Today science has a lot of evidence to support the big bang theory for the beginning of the universe. But how did we progress to what we know today?
