The Javelina Bound Tour continues, this time making a stop in Houston to welcome future Javelinas to Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Meagan Cantu, a senior at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, has been named the recipient of the 2017 Texas American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Undergraduate Scholar Award from the Texas Regional Chapter of the ACSM.

The A&M-Kingsville Gold team placed ninth out of 30 teams from the state at the Texas American College of Sports Medicine Student (ACSM) Bowl. Gold team members include Cruz Armas, a senior studying Exercise Science/Pre-PT; Tabitha Castillo, a senior studying Exercise Science/Pre-PT; Stephanie Holloway, a senior studying Exercise Science; and Mario Perez, a junior studying Exercise Science/Pre-PT.

The A&M-Kingsville Blue team came in 12th place at the Texas ACSM Bowl. Blue team members include Meagan Cantu; Michael Martinez, a senior studying Exercise Science; Christina Whitney, a senior studying Exercise Science/Performance Psychology; and Zach Smith, a senior studying Exercise Science/Pre-PT.
