School of worship Kona updates and news

Start of the quarter

My new season in YWAM Kona and School of Worship experience has been awesome so far, and I'm excited about what God has done already and what He is preparing in the future. When I first arrived and got to register in University I had $300 with me. I was told later that I needed to pay for my whole lecture phase at once and, by a miracle, that same night God provided much more then I needed at that point! It covered part of my outreach fees as well! Once again God confirmed that He has me in the perfect place and I'm ready to go wherever He calls me!

It's been a great season of growing and getting to know God in more diverse ways than ever before. Our school is focused on more open and prophetic worship and we have a great chance to practice and apply it here by leading worship in different schools and courses on the YWAM Kona campus. We have 12 students in our school from United States, England, Switzerland, Solomon Islands, Ukraine, and Canada. We work together to better understand how we can express our worship and how we can help others to feel God's presence!

Even though being in Hawaii is great, I really don't have a lot of time to visit places or to spend time in any other way. I'm grateful that the place where I'm studying is so great and beautiful. It just shows me more of God's characteristics in His nature, and encourages me to seek and to study more of who He is and how we can worship Him. I am growing in knowing how to hear God's voice, how to be able to bring His presence through worship, and to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. We as a team are learning prophetic worship leading and how to be effective as a team.

God has done lots of miracles and work in our team and in me personally: He showed me that His ideas are greater and bigger then I could ever imagine. So far God has provided everything I need, and I believe that He will continue to do so.

I'm already more than halfway through lecture phase and we are getting ready for outreach in Tokyo, Japan. For our assignments here on the base we lead worship in different teams in the 24/7 prayer room, teach kids to play instruments in the local YWAM school, and working on the first YWAM base in Kona called "Kings Mansion". My next school will be Discipleship Bible School in March, right after coming back from outreach

After lecture phase I will have two free weeks before going on outreach. I haven't decided what to do yet and I'm still figuring out if I should stay here on the base or go somewhere to celebrate Christmas. In a few weeks I will apply for a visa to Japan! I'm still in need of $250 for my time here in Kona and $900 for my tickets to Japan and back to Kona.
