"It doesn't matter whether you come first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."

As we are now getting into the back end of the season (boo!) the club headed to Silverstone for two days of racing in the glorious Northamptonshire sunshine.. Big grids, close racing and first time winners and podium finishers made for a great weekends racing.

Just a little snippet of the action from Silverstone click on the link below for full galleries

Race Reports:

Silverstone - Packed grids and exciting racing took place over the two days. Close battles in the Formula Vee and Civic Cup took place, along with the Club Enduro and Roadsports racing providing some close battles with a variety of different cars. For full results please see link below

Thurxton - The 750mc returned to Thruxton for the first time in over a decade, one of the fastest circuits in the UK certainly didn't disappoint with the RGB cars averaging over 109mph! One championship which was wrapped up that weekend was the K-Tec Clio 182 Championship, congratulations to Patrick Fletcher for winning back to back titles! For full results click the link below

Congratulations Patch!

Driver of the month for September is: Jason Ballantyne

Jason had a strong weekend at Silverstone qualifying 3rd for the first time, for the two races on Saturday afternoon.. Race 1 was a hard fought battle with Mark Grice, Jason just missed out on victory but still finished a fine 2nd place. With the reserve grid for race 2, Jason started P9 but worked his way up to take the win and his first victory in the Civic Cup.. oh and also managed to break the lap record as well! Congratulations Jason!

Special shout out this month goes to Ben Leach in the classic stock hatch. Ben secured his first podium in the series with a fine 3rd just 0.7 off the lead.

Sticking with Classic stock hatch, well done to Esther in her first race meeting with PDC racing. Pip Hammond handed his car over to Esther for the weekend, she had a great battle with Craig Emmerson, I don't think that smile ever left her face!

Finally, massive thank you to all for helping me pass 750 likes on Facebook before Rockingham! Which is were the club is heading next (9th-10th September) See you all there! :)
