The Thanksgiving holiday is the perfect time to remind one another of the many reasons there are to be grateful. This year we have been reminded that life presents us with many challenges and it is so important that we relish our time with family, appreciate our health, and work together to overcome adversity. We are going through trying times and I hope that all of you spend the Thanksgiving holiday reflecting on the things that you are grateful for and safely celebrate with your loved ones!
Extension of Virtual Learning
Given the current COVID-19 concerns in our community, the Troy School District made the decision to have students continue learning in a virtual environment through the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Elementary school students are scheduled to return on Tuesday, January 19. Secondary students will return at the beginning of the new semester on Monday, January 25. Prior to those dates, there will be an option for families to change their selection on virtual and in-seat learning.

Picture Day Cancellation
With the Troy School District moving to virtual learning, the anticipated low student participation and our commitment to the mitigation of potential risks associated with COVID-19, we are deciding to cancel the scheduled drive-thru picture process. We are planning to have a picture date scheduled for the spring with hopes of better conditions within the community.
We realize that the constant changes to our learning format and the cancellation of activities is disappointing. I apologize for the inconvenience and will work with Kaiser Studio to provide this opportunity at a later date. We will also work with Mrs. Traver to provide opportunities for students to have their picture added to the yearbook if you are unable to participate in the Spring picture day. Again, we are sorry for the cancellation and will work to make this happen when possible.

The Troy School District is replacing Payschools with the new program "School Pay".
This will be used for Pay to Participate payments that include intramural athletics and club participation, lunch, field trip, club, media center fines and more. All student absences must be called in to our attendance hotline before school starts, the morning of your student’s absence (248.823.4601). The attendance hotline is available 24 hours per day.

Last call! There is still time to purchase iPad insurance. iPad insurance is available for $10.00 per student until Monday, November 30th. Payments can be made online on SchoolPay or by cash or check. Please make checks payable to Troy School District.
