As spring approaches, that means it's time to switch out hot drinks for cool, iced drinks like green juice. Green juice has many benefits to the body such as boosting energy, helping your immune system and assisting with weight loss.
We decided to try green juice from three popular places around Westport: Juice Press, Green & Tonic and Emobdy.

This juice was only made up of five ingredients and was expensive ($11). The ingredients were kale, apple, ginger, lemon and pineapple. We ended up liking this juice, despite its high price.
Next we went to Green & Tonic and tried the “Green Monster” juice. This juice was cheaper at $8.49, but we still thought it was pretty pricey given how little juice you actually get (12 oz).

This juice had a lot more ingredients including: cucumber, celery, green apple, kale, ginger, romaine, spinach, lemon, parsley and spirulina, while also being low in sugar and calories. However, we thought it had a pungent taste of celery. It was a lighter, thinner juice, but we didn’t enjoy it as much.
Our final stop was Embody where we ordered the “Light Green” juice. This was the only juice that came in two sizes, 12 oz or 16 oz, and it wasn’t prepackaged. We opted for the 12 oz size which was $7.

The juice was very citrusy and the sour lemon juice was very overpowering. We also noticed that since the juice was not cold which threw us off a little. This was our least favorite of the three juices.
Overall, we really enjoyed trying the different juices around Westport. This was a great way to prepare for the upcoming spring season that will be filled with delicious juices.
