Show Choir Pre-Contest January 26, 2017

Accents

The Junior Varsity all girl choir, Accents, performs a Dolly Parton Medley arranged by pianist Sanders. The medley included the song "Rocky Top". They also performed "Fabulous Baby" and "Home."

Surround Sound

The Junior Varsity choir, Surround System, performs "You Can't Stop the Beat" with soloist Gracie Dehaven in the front. In addition, they performed "The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing", "Put a Lid on It", and "I Feel So Much Spring."

Surround Sound performs "I Feel So Much Spring." Soloist Subi Pandit, in the bottom right corner, sang in the ballet.
Surround Sound performs "You Can't Stop the Beat" which included solos from Victoria Collins, Donnie Conrad, Gracie Dehaven, Melanie Shea, and Cam Thatcher.

Debtones

The Varsity all girl choir, performs "Let Them Eat Cake" which features a solo from Emily Donica, Lauren Gay, Adena Goss, Caela Heisinger, Madi McGraw, Abby Plummer, and Sophia Watt.

A group of girls tap dance during the costume change before performing "Victoire."
Abby Plummer sings a solo in "The Killer Queen." Throughout the entire set she is portrayed as the evil queen.

In addition, Debtones also performed both "Madame Guillotine" and the ballot "La Vie en Rose."

Sound System

The Varsity mixed choir performs "Beyond the Stars" as their closer. In addition, they sang "Nocte Incipit", "The World Turned Upside Down", "The Long Arc of Justice", and "I'll Fly Away-Bring Me to Life." Their set featured music from the new hit Broadway musical, "Hamilton."

Haley Burghs sings a solo in the middle of the choir in "I'll Fly Away-Bring Me to Life." Other solos featured in the piece were from Alex Milligan and Wilson Smith.
The girls of Sound System perform in their opening piece, "Nocte Incipit" with black veils on.
The boys of Sound System perform "The World Turned Upside Down." This included solos from Brant McCracken, Alex Milligan, Eli Robinson, Noah Smith, and Taylor Ward.
Sound System performs "My Shot" from Hamilton the musical. Multiple songs from the musical were incorporated in the set.

CG Singers

CG Singers, the Varsity concert choir, performed "Come to Me My Love", "Tu Voz", "Lament for Pasiphae" and "Gloria."

Director Jennifer Dice cues the choir to start their first piece, "Come to Me, My Love."
Maria Rose, Abby Plummer, and Haley Burgh sing "Lament for Pasiphae."
Sydney Hurst is buried in her music folder as they sing the fast paced song "Tu Voz."
