DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY 2016 wOMEN'S TENNIS SEASON REVIEW

The Dominican University women's tennis team missed the 2016 NACC Tournament by one match, finishing 3-6 in the conference regular season, including a 5-4 win over neighborhood rival Concordia University Chicago in the River Forest Rivalry Series hosted by Northwestern Mutual.
Sophomore Gabby Curran (Elmhurst, IL) led the team with a 9-3 singles' record while playing the majority of the season in the 4th singles flight. In NACC duals, Curran went 6-2.
Freshman Bridget Garner (Villa Park, IL) went 7-4 in singles play for her rookie season.
The Stars' most successful doubles combo paired together a freshman and a junior as Morganne Schmidt (West Dundee, IL) teamed with rookie Heidi Carvajal (Berwyn, IL) to go 6-4 as a doubles' team while playing mostly at the number three flight.
