Marco Polo and The Silk Road

RACES: The reopening of the Silk Road helped the Renaissance.

The reopening of the Silk Road helped the Renaissance by moving products to the east and west along the Silk Road, when the Roman Empire and the Han dynasty fell, soldiers no longer were protecting travelers between Europe and Asia as a result the Silk Road declined , in 1200s the Mongols took over China and they made the roads safer for travelers and traders, a man from Venice named Marco Polo and his family met a Mongol Emperor named Kublai Khan which he invited them to stay in his court and even made Marco Polo a government official.

This video showed about the most important trading centers and why,it also showed about the geography that helped them to flourish through Europe.

The articles of the above is about the drawings and paintings that Leonardo Da Vinci did, there is also some information of some of his most famous paintings.

The first image is about a portrait of Mona Lisa, also known as La Gioconda, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo; The second image is about a picture by Bugiardini which was based upon Leonardo's original cartoon ,and the third is about Lady with an Ermine this subject of the portrait is identified as Cecilia Gallerani, and was probably painted at a time when she was the mistress of Lodovico Sforza, Duke of Milan and Leonardo was in the service of the Duke. And the Fourth image is about the vitruvian man that Leonardo Da Vinci wrote.
The first image is about the presses that were added steam engines to print faster and make it cheaper,the second image is about the movable type printers that they used instead of copying the whole thing by hand, and the last one is about workers printing in presses with steam engines.

The impact that the movable type printing press had in literacy is that it helped spread new political ,artistic and religious ideas through Europe. This movable type printing press helped make printing faster and cheaper .

William Shakespeare's writings reflect the ideas of humanism by his vernacular language and his understanding of humanity as stated in the text " all the world's a stage,and all the men and women merely players. They have their exists and their entrances;and one man in this time plays many parts,his acts being seven ages" (Holt 317) ,this passage shows where the Renaissance spirit lives on.Shakespeare's writings attract such a wide audience because Shakespeare was most famous for his plays and as stated "the audience enjoyed the beauty of Shakespeare's language and his interest in humanism "(Holt 317) this piece of information shows that William Shakespeare's writings attract such a wide audience because of his plays. In conclusion William Shakespeare was so famous because of his plays and interest in humanism.

Some famous lines from a poem or play are: "The course of true love never did run smooth.- A midsummer Night's Dream". And "Do you not know I am a woman? when I think, I must speak"- As you like it .
