Dear Patton Families,
On behalf of the entire middle school staff, I want to wish you a peaceful and relaxing holiday. I am sure we will see a crescendo of excitement and anticipation from our students and staff as we embark on a much needed holiday break.
Last week was a busy week at Patton. Many of our students participated in the Giving Tree program on Thursday by helping to deliver hundreds of gifts to the New Garden Township Maintenance Building, and by helping to pack food boxes for local residents in need.
On Friday, our 8th-grade students visited the Technical College High School for an exclusive tour and presentation on the many options that TCHS has to offer. We also had many of our 8th-grade students visit the Brandywine River Museum on Wednesday as part of the 8th grade Art program. This week our 6th-grade students will enjoy a festive trip to the bowling alley, and our Chorus and Handbell students will perform their holiday concert on Wednesday. Our winter athletics program is in full swing, including girls’ and boys’ basketball, wrestling, and cheerleading. The Patton Middle School Musical rehearsals have also begun. It is a busy, busy time of year at Patton Middle School, and we’re grateful for the many opportunities and experiences we can provide to our students.

UCF Holiday Card Contest Winner!
We are excited to announce that the artwork created by a Patton student has been selected as one of the four winning designs for the 2019 UCF Holiday Card Contest! The district received so many great submissions this year - it was certainly a difficult decision! Congratulations to Ellie O'Donnell and her card called SKATING RINK!
Math Madness Success!
Math Madness is an online, team-based event that takes place in the Fall in which elementary, middle and high schools from across the country compete in leagues of weekly competition followed by a single elimination bracket tournament. Patton MS has participated in this event for several years under the leadership of Mary Jo Knauer. This year we participated in 5 preliminary rounds and went into the elimination bracket in 1st place! And Patton is in the final bracket round with three team members in the top 10!! Read more here.
STEM Saturdays
Hey Patton Hawks! The CCIU presents STEM Saturdays: student-centered, integrative activities that engage students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Participants will build vital STEM skills through designing, making and collaborating. Whether your students are interested in coding, chemistry, engineering, robotics, drones or video games, there's a STEM session that's sure to spark their creativity! Currie Spa & Nails - Support our school!
Currie Hair, Skin and Nails is thrilled to partner with the Patton Middle School PTO for an amazing new program! Currie Hair, Skin and Nails has always valued education and we are excited to launch this brand new program to support students in our communities. We invite all Patton Middle School PTO members, parents and educators to visit our locations and for every spa or nail appointment we will donate $5.00 to the PTO to support programs for the students and for the school!
