Here are some words we should know by now: Easter bunny, a nest, a basket, hot cross buns, a lamb, colouring eggs, a chick, Easter cookies, Easter breakfast, chocolate eggs...

EASTER IN THE UK
In the UK, schools close for about two weeks at Easter time. Read on to find out more about how Easter is celebrated in Britain. U Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu škole se zatvaraju na otprilike dva tjedna tijekom uskrsnih blagdana. Pročitaj i saznaj više o tome kako se Uskrs slavi u Velikoj Britaniji.
Schoolchildren and students in the UK have about a two-week holiday at Easter time. It’s also the first public holiday after Christmas and everyone looks forward to their Easter break as a moment to relax, have a short holiday or visit family and friends. Školarci i studenti u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu imaju otprilike dvotjedne praznike za vrijeme Uskrsa. To je ujedno i prvi državni blagdan nakon Božića i svi se zapravo raduju uskrsnim praznicima jer se mogu opustiti, uživati u prazniku ili posjetiti prijatelje i obitelj.
Traditionally on Good Friday people in the United Kingdom make Hot Cross Buns. Hot Cross Bun is a spiced sweet bun usually made with fruit, marked with a cross on the top. The bun marks the end of Lent and different parts of the hot cross bun have a certain meaning. Tradicionalno na Veliki petak ljudi u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu prave Hot Cross Buns. Hot Cross Buns su začinjena slatka peciva obično napravljena s voćem i označena simbolom križa. Peciva označavaju završetak Korizme i svaki dio peciva ima svoje značenje.
Easter Egg Hunt is a popular Easter game. It takes place on Easter Morning. Children search for eggs that are hidden in varoius places, usually outside. They collect eggs in their baskets. The winner is the child who collects the most eggs. Lov na uskrsna jaja je popularna uskrsna igra. Održava se ujutro na Uskrs. Easter Egg Roll is a traditional game played at Easter. Children roll their eggs down a hill. The winner is the child whose egg rolls the farthest. The most famous Easter Egg Roll takes place at the White House on Easter Monday. The hosts are the President and the First Lady of the United States. Uskrsno kortljanje jaja je tradicionalna igra koja se igra na Uskrs. Djeca kotrljaju jaja niz brdo. Pobjednik je dijete čije se jaje najdalje otkotrlja. Najpoznatije uskrsno kotrljanje jaja održava se u Bijeloj kući na Uskrsni ponedjeljak. Domaćini su predsjednik i prva dama Sjedinjenih Američkih Država.
