WIRED Program

Our WIRED program for Years 7 and above will be running again this term and will be on Friday Night 31st May, 2019 from 7pm-9pm at Fox Valley Community Centre.

“Wired” is organised by the chaplains and staff at Wahroonga Adventist School and local church youth. It is all about establishing connections between the school and local church communities. It is hoped this will establish a foundation where the students will maintain their connection with the church communities as they get older.

The Concept of “Wired” is about our students having a safe place outside of school hours on a Friday night where they can connect more within our school family and invite their "out of school" friends to a chapel like program.

Wired into our school, Wired into the community and Wired into God.

Upcoming School Events

Pupil Free Day - Reminder

Just a reminder that Friday 7th June (Friday of the June long weekend) is a pupil free day at school. Teachers will be at an in-service, hence no students at school.

Sherpa Kids Wahroonga (OOSH Care) will take expressions of interest regarding care that day for any Primary School students. (Payment would be required) If you are interested in childcare please email them directly on hurstville@sherpa-kids.com.au

School Photo Day

School Photo Day is Monday 27th May 2019. Have your child’s school memories captured forever!

The MSP photography envelopes have been sent home. Forms are to be returned to your CHILD'S CLASS TEACHER, as they need to be marked off and and handed to the photographers on the day.

Please take time to read the relevant information on the MSP Photography payment envelopes and remember these helpful points:

  • Don’t seal envelopes inside each other. You can pay for all children in one envelope however each child needs to have their own envelope on photo day.
  • If paying by cash please enclose correct money as no change is given on photo day. NO CHEQUES ACCEPTED.
  • Credit card payments can be made online (please follow instructions on envelope) or by calling the MSP Office prior to the day. Your child will still need to take their envelope with them on the day.
  • Specialty Photo Orders (e.g. Captains ) will be organized after photo day on a separate form.

Single Parent families can place multiple orders for children by either option below:

  • Placing all the orders on the one envelope.
  • Handing in multiple order envelopes (they can collect a spare one from the school office and complete it as usual). If this is the chosen method, it may be worth having them label the envelope as either “Mums Copy” or “Dads Copy”, so upon delivery the correct photo order is returned to the correct parent.

******* Please direct all parent queries to MSP Photography on 9499 6555.

Jump Rope for Heart is a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program that has been run by the Heart Foundation for over 35 years. It’s a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs.

Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $75 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work.

It’s important you register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started.

Students will be skipping throughout the term in PE lessons, before school and during lunch and recess breaks. During this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause.

We will hold our school Jump Off Day on Thursday the 27th of June, this will mark the end of the program and is a chance for everyone to come together to skip and show off their newly learned skills.

Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program!
