Social emotional learning parent night - monday, september 9
Parents! Please join us on Monday, September 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for a parent information night and learn all about the topic of Social Emotional Learning. We will share what SEL is all about, what the research says about why it's important, information about Indiana's SEL Competencies, and practices we are implementing at Smoky Row to help our students foster and improve social emotional skills. General pto meeting, monday, september 9
Immediately prior to the SEL Parent Information Night, all parents are invited to attend the PTO General Meeting from 6:00-6:30 in our school cafeteria. This is an adult only meeting. Meet our Executive Board and learn a little more about the workings of our PTO at this first general meeting of the year!
Rocket Run!
Parents and Families, Pledging is NOW OPEN for the Rocket Run! Our Pep Rally/Kickoff will take place on Wednesday, September 11, where students will learn about the Rocket Run fundraiser, pledge collection, and prizes.
If 100% of families get pledges from sponsors with 5 pledges per student, we will meet our goal of $45,000 school profit for the many things our students and teachers deserve, such as field trips, teacher subscriptions, professional development conferences, student events, wish list items, and more!

Smoky Row PTO
make friday the 13th a lucky day!
Our first Shop-n-Dine is here! On Friday, September 13th—from noon until 10 p.m.—20% of all proceeds to Yogurtz comes back to Smoky Row. All you have to do is mention that you are with Smoky Row and get yourself a sweet treat! Yogurtz is located at: 12561 N. Meridian St. in Carmel (at the corner of North Pennsylvania St. and West Carmel Dr.). We hope to see you there!
Traffic Flow Reminder
Please remember that the lot in front of Smoky Row is a ONE WAY lot/drive. Cars should enter on the east side of the building and travel east to west through the lot. When exiting, please exit on the west side of the school. Thank you for keeping all of our cars and pedestrians safe.
media center volunteers needed
Volunteers are always welcome and appreciated in the Media Center to assist with a variety of tasks like shelving books, checking items in or out, and helping students locate books. Not to mention, it's a great way to gather book ideas for your child and to interact with students in all grades. Volunteer times are 8:15-10:15, 10:15-12:15, and 12:15-2:15 with no experience necessary. If you are interested in volunteering, please make sure you have a current criminal background check on file and clink on the button below to sign up using the access code: library.
