HCPS Newsletter November 2020

BF Comment

Parents, over recent weeks our school has experienced several bubble closures and a high level of pupil isolation and staff illness. May we thank you all for your support during this exceptional period in our pupils learning. As you are aware, we have continued to provide a high level of teaching during the isolation for our pupils and we thank all pupils and parents for their commitment towards the pupils learning throughout their isolation. This has given us a great start to develop our approach to remote learning during any further intermittent closures and/or future Government lockdown.

Hopefully, we will see more children back in school shortly and would like to request that parents continue to wear masks when coming to school - this will hopefully help reduce the spread of Corona virus in our area. We are looking forward to seeing you all back at school shortly - we have missed you!

Public Health advice is to :-

  • Maintain physical distancing - try to stay at least 2 metres away from people you dont usually live with.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Wear face coverings where required.
  • Book a test and self-isolate straight away if yu do have any symptoms of coronavirus.

Attendance

HCPS continues to promote good attendance. As always if your child is going to be absent please keep school informed. This term all parents are in with a chance of winning a £50 love to shop voucher if your child’s attendance is 97% or above. Take a look at our attendance for the first half term of the school year in the table below.

Fun Club

Due to staffing restrictions, we have temporarily suspend our Fun Club provision before and after school. This decision was made to keep both pupils and staff safe. However, we are hoping to reopen Fun Club from Thursday 19th November. We will confirm this early next week dependent on staffing.

Cashless Payments

We would like to remind parents that we are completely cashless and will no longer accept any form of cash payments. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the school office, we can also take card payment over the phone. Parents can also make payments via Arbor, which is our preferred method of payment. We have made the decision to operate completely cashless to make sure that there is no cross contamination when handling monies and to keep staff/parents safe.

School Photographs

Due to new government guidelines and a second lockdown, we have had to postpone our booking for children's school photographs (families and individual). As soon as it is safe to do so, we will arrange a new booking and communicate this with parents. We are hopefully wanting to get the photographers in during the spring term.

Please note that we will send out more information when it is appropriate to do so.
