We zoomed through March in amazing fashion! Six of Sherwood's own worked hard night after night to perfect their roles in Annie. We couldn't be more proud of our amazing actresses, singers, and dancers. They put on a fantastic show!
Third, fourth and fifth grade students were treated to a wonderful learning activity, involving the Outreach Museum of Natural History in Eugene. The museum brought a number of fascinating artifacts, bones and other items for the kids to enjoy. Students rotated through a variety of higher order thinking activities led by dynamic instructors from the museum.
After receiving a Wildhorse grant in the fall, stationary bikes were purchased for each "corral." Students use them to take breaks, have a reward, get out their wiggles and help improve their concentration. The students love having the opportunity to take 5 or 10 minutes to go for a quick ride.
Each month our Golden Spur Club members are rewarded with an extra recess. These pictures represent just a glimpse of our Golden Spur club membership. At this time in the year we have close to 250 students identified as card carrying members of the club. Our latest recipients were super excited to be chosen, as they have been trying to earn the privilege all year! Congratulations to all our winners.
