Native Americans in the American West the naive americans were forced onto reservations and forced to leave their land because of white settlers and white workers from the government using animals and making room for the railroad for the whites personal gain

the dawes act stated that when the indians left their territories and forced assimilation the land was sold to the whites for their own gain and leaving the indians with nothing
