Chocolate Chip Cookies By Kayla Thao

Ingredients: Makes 12 or 9 Big ones

  • 8 Tablespoons of Salted Butter
  • 1/2 a cup of White Sugar
  • 1/4 a cup of brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 a cup of All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of Baking soda
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 3/4 a cup of chocolate chips/chunks


1. First preheat your oven to 350 degrees, then Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds until melted

Cut The butter into small pieces so it melts easier

Add the Melted butter and Sugars together until smooth and creamy like this

Don't beat the eggs in for too long or the cookies will be stiff

Then Mix in the egg and A splash of Vanilla.

After that slowly Incorporate the Flour, Baking soda, and salt until it becomes doughy, if it's to sticky then add more flour until it becomes a dough. You can then add as much chocolate chips as you crave.

You could also use Chocolate chunks to.

Gently fold in the chocolate so it is all mixed in.

Use a Tablespoon to portion the dough. It should make about 12 cookies or more.

Roll each scoop into small balls slightly pushing down so it cooks all the way through.

Place them on a cookie tray

Put them in the oven for 9-11 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.

And there you have it, Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies ready to eat right out of the oven. Enjoy!
