Homeless Heroes By: Massimo, Connor, Jaden, Tommy

Our mission is to give the people of America the information on what being homeless is really like and how people can help get the the homeless out of starvation.

Many people in the cities live in tents like these.

The problem is there are a lot of homeless people living on city streets in the United States. These people go through every day in hunger trying to find anything to eat. There are about 564,708 homeless people around the country. This problem was first recognized in the 1640´s.

Many homeless people have to carry their belongings around where ever they go.

This problem should be given attention because its not just adults who are homeless. Around the world 2.5 million kids are without a home. Also the number of people who are homeless continue to increase each day. This means that the crime rate and drug use in these cities tend to increase as well.

Many individual/relational factors can lead to homelessness. Events like the loss of a house due to a fire, job loss, divorces, and mental health challenges can cause this problem. Family violence is estimated to cause about 2 million individuals to move out of a house and become homeless.

Many homeless people get their food like this.

One solution to solve homelessness is to spread the word to other people. Another solution is to give the homeless shelters. Of the people who are homeless, 41.7% of these people do not have a shelter. Also a way you can help is to donate food or water to these people. But most of all, try to spread the word that these people are homeless.
