Pickleball:Private, semi-private lessons and drills are available at Custer Park Sports & Fitness Center. Participants may develop both tactical and technical skills to be successful in the game of Pickleball. Private lessons are $30. Semi-private lessons are $15.00. Pickleball Ladder League: This league is held on Mondays from 10:00AM-2:00PM for $5, and offers Pickleballers recorded and ranked play with similarly skilled players. Brazilian Futsal Academy: Program focuses on individual skills and covers every aspect of Futsal. Drills emphasizes dribbling, passing, and shooting as well as 1 vs 1 moves. Futsal utilizes smaller, harder, and low-bounce soccer balls while playing on a hard court indoors. Participants will learn ball control and passing in small spaces all while increasing their skill level through creativity and technique. Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:45PM-8:45PM. NAYS Start Smart: A developmental program that will teach children the basic mechanics of throwing, catching, kicking, batting, and dribbling which are important skills for most sports. Youth Basketball League: This league teaches basic from beginning to advanced skills, sportsmanship and teamwork, through practices and actual league play. All practices and games are conducted at Marietta City Schools and City of Marietta Gymnasiums. Skills Assessments and Practices will begin mid-October, games begin mid-November. Youth Basketball Training with Tony Delk: Training sessions will present parents with an opportunity to hone their child’s basketball skills before, during, and even after Marietta's Youth Basketball Season. Tony Delk, winner of a National Championship with the University of Kentucky, played in 10 NBA seasons, and coach on the collegiate level, will focus on individual areas of weakness and develop a game plan to help your child excel. Training will emphasize and teach skills, techniques, and fundamentals on the following dates: Tuesdays, 3:30PM-4:30PM and 4:30PM-5:30PM; Wednesdays, 3:30PM-4:30PM and 4:30-5:30PM; Saturdays, 11:00AM-12:00PM, 12:00PM-1:00PM and 1:00PM-2:00PM.
