Cling Wrap An easy to eliminate single-use plastic

The plastic wrap that saves your sandwich but pollutes the planet

Much like plastic bags, plastic wrap is hard to recycle. It is so thin it clogs the machines.

In 2017, 700,000 food wrappers were found at beach clean ups according to Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup 2017 Report

Over 1.2 Billion Metres of cling wrap is used each year in the UK.

Plastic wrap takes hundreds of years to break down with the risk of chemicals released sinking into the groundwater supply.

But there are super easy ways to reduce cling wrap from your home!

Beeswax wraps are a simple alternative and you can make your own very easily!

Or to store your food you can use reusable containers

Or you could use aluminium foil- but remember to reuse this to reduce it's carbon footprint!

There is no need for cling wrap in your kitchen!
