18U World Series to Fill Void Left by Other Organizations
Over the past few years, the landscape of youth sports has shifted, with several youth baseball and softball programs capping participation at age 16 years old. Babe Ruth League has always been deeply committed to providing all youth, aged 4 through 18, with the very best educational sports experience possible. We pride ourselves on providing a place for everyone - for those on a recreational level to those who seek a higher degree of competition.
“As we continue to strengthen our focus on providing baseball and softball opportunities for all young athletes, Babe Ruth League is pleased to announce that beginning with the 2017 season, an additional Softball World Series will be offered in the 18U Division.” - Steven M. Tellefsen, President/CEO of Babe Ruth League, Inc.
“Participating in a World Series is a once in a lifetime experience for most youth. Offering an additional World Series for Babe Ruth Softball is an excellent way to allow more youngsters and communities to take part in a unique social, cultural and competitive experience, leaving them with a host of memories to cherish for the rest of their lives.” - Babe Ruth Softball National Commissioner, Rob Connor
“Jensen Beach/Stuart has served as the host of the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U for the past few years, and we are excited to once again offer a top-notch playing experience in 2017 that will now include players in the 18U age division.” - World Series Host-President, Mike Cusimano.
