Planned Parenthood Rally: Strength in Numbers (and heart)

On a dreary Saturday morning, the cloudy atmosphere was electrified by the passionate battle between the pro-choice and pro-life supporters lined outside of Planned Parenthood in Knoxville, TN.

Pro-life supporters protested the rally on the western most side of Cherry Street, singing "Amazing Grace" in unison...

But the noise died down after only 30 minutes.

But to the east, directly in front of Planned Parenthood, the pro-choice advocates chanted relentlessly throughout the day...

"Pro-Life--That's a lie. You don't care if women die."
"No way, don't you dare take away my health care."
"Hey hey, oh no. Patriarchy has to go."

It was more than just chanting that kept this group going. It was their passion, and their cause.

Many of them were very outspoken.

"We are American citizens, not human incubators" -Dee White.
"I want my daughter to grow up with the same healthcare I have, and I want my son to grow up and respect women"-Emily Walker

Pictured left is Cathy Henschen, who wanted to make something very clear.

"Nobody is 'pro-abortion'," she said...

"But everyone should have a choice."
