Malcolm X The man who died for his cause

He knew he would probably die because of what we was doing. My topic is about a civil rights leader called Malcolm X. Malcolm X was someone who tried to get equal rights with violence. He did not like Martin Luther King's peaceful protest. I do not think Malcolm was successful because I think he got killed while he was just starting to make a impact."While we did not always see eye-to-eye on methods to solve the race problem, I always had a deep affection for Malcolm and felt he had a great ability to put his finger on the existence and root of the problem. He was an eloquent spokesman for his point of view and no one can honestly doubt that Malcolm had a great concern for the problems we face as a race...." Martin Luther King.

“If ballots won't work, bullets will.” Malcolm X

What did he want?

When Malcolm X was little bad things always happened in his neighborhood. So Malcolm X wanted equal rights for African Americans. He thought whites were devils and what they were doing was unfair.

Why did he want it?

Malcolm X wanted equal rights for African Americans because whites had more power than African Americans so they could do mean things to them and get away with it. Also his father was killed when he was at a young age which caused his mother to have a mental breakdown. All of these things add up to him wanting equal rights.

I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it's for or against . Malcolm X

How did he try to get it

Malcolm X tried to get his cause by joining a group called The Nation of Islam. He also did speeches everywhere. He wasn’t a peaceful protester. He thought they should approach in a violent way and not just let the whites hurt them while they protest.

Consequences Negative and Positive

Negative consequences were he got lots of hate from whites and he was also killed on February 21, 1965, In a ballroom when doing a speech to influence others on his cause. He also always had his life on the line when spoke out because that gave him hate from Whites.

Positive consequences were he got lots of followers and people who looked up to him so he was considered a hero to people. He also got to go meet Martin Luther King and go to Africa to talk to people there.

Conclusion

In the end I do not think Malcolm X was successful like I said earlier because he was just starting to protest a lot, also just about when I think he was gaining lots of followers and making an impact. Also he was killed by the Nation of Islam because he broke off from them and started getting different beliefs. Though he did make an impact on many people's lives though I do think he could of done even more great things if he wasn't assassinated.
