Others may use a software platform combined with outside counsel to get their search reports. A majority of trademark professionals use a number of different resources and systems to piece together a picture of likelihood of confusion.

Decrease the likelihood of confusion and increase the likelihood of successful trademark registration by using this checklist when clearing your trademarks:

#1 Trademark Databases : Check for exact matches in all relevant country and/or state trademark databases for your trademark candidate
#2 Other classes and product categories : Research exact matches and similar words to your candidate in other classes and product Categories
