Toronto Why it was built where it was

One major body of water by Toronto is Lake Ontario. They wanted to settle by Lake Ontario because of easy transportation and trade.
A major landform is the St. Lawrence lowlands. People settled here because its near water which makes for easy transportation. They also have great mining.
Toronto has one of the warmest climates in Canada. This is because they are closest to the equator. This is good because you have more time for farming the fertile soils in these lowlands.
Coal mining is another reason they settled here. This natural resource creates many jobs.
