Amelia Island Solidarity March

On Saturday morning January 21, 2017 over one thousand individuals from Amelia Island and many surrounding communities gathered at Central Park on Amelia Island for the purpose of participating in the Amelia Island Solidarity March. They, like folks in cities throughout the country, indeed throughout the world, came to stand together in solidarity for the protection of their rights, safety and families recognizing that diverse communities are the strength of their country. They came fired up!

"Fired up. We ARE fired up! Ready to go. Fired up!"

What Comes Next?

  • The March was a spectacular success, but what comes next. Many are pondering actions they can take to keep the pressure on. One alternative has been laid out in the form of a template action plan that can be adapted to the needs of local grassroots groups. A group of former congressional staffers have created INDIVISIBLE: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda. The guide may be downloaded at:www.indivisibleguide.com
