Chefs are the ones who run the kitchen keeping everything in check. They come up with the menu and handle the administrative task. Though sometimes they spend less time in the kitchen. They work in restaurants, hotels, private households, etc. Head chefs work full time, they work more than 40 hours a week.

You can become one by having skills through work experience or culinary school. Then also you need a high school diploma. Training is a big help to, most of chefs and cooks train through a program called Apprenticeship. The annual wage for chefs is $41,500. For half time workers if you work less than 10% of the time you get $23,150, more than 10% you get $74,170.

  • Bakers- Makes bread, pastries, and other goods. They don't need any formal education. There median pay is $24,170.
  • Food service manger- They operate there restaurants daily. They make sure there staff ensure the costumers satisfaction. They do need a high school diploma. There median pay is $48,690.
  • Cooks- They cook ranges of foods. They need to go to a professional culinary institute, but they need a high school diploma. The median pay is $21,720.
