Stressed out

twenty one pilotes

I wish I found some better sounds no one's ever heard

I wish I had a better voice that sang some better words

I wish I found some chords in an order that is new

I wish I didn't have to rhyme every time I sang

I was told when I get older all my fears would shrink

But now I'm insecure and I care what people think

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

We're stressed out

Sometimes a certain smell will take me back to when I was young

How come I'm never able to identify where it's coming from

I'd make a candle out of it if I ever found it

Try to sell it, never sell out of it, I'd probably only sell one

It'd be to my brother, 'cause we have the same nose

Same clothes homegrown a stone's throw from a creek we used to roam

But it would remind us of when nothing really mattered

Out of student loans and tree-house homes we all would take the latter

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

We used to play pretend, give each other different names

We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away

Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face

Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money"

Yeah

We used to play pretend, give each other different names

We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away

Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face

Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money"

Yeah

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days

When our momma sang us to sleep but now we're stressed out

Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny

We used to play pretend, wake up, you need the money

Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny

We used to play pretend, wake up, you need the money

Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny

we used to dream of what we were going to become ,like a spy

We would build a rocket ship and then we'd fly it far away

Used to dream of outer space but now they're laughing at our face

Saying, "Wake up, you need to make money"

Yeah

He said his name is blurryface

in this poem/song it uses fugitive language like using alliteration and simile. in this song it uses alliteration because it says ''Used to play pretend, used to play pretend, bunny .'' ( line 57 21 pilots ) This song use this use of figurative language to help the reader understand this song better. The author also used a simile in this song because it says''we used to dream of what we were going to become ,like a spy'' (line 59 21 pilots ) this helps the reader because it relates to more stuff by comparing more things to each other. The author used these forms of fugitive langauge to help the reader understand and relate to this song.

he wants to be a little kid but know hes all grown up and feels like he is trapped.

Me myself and i

G-easy

Oh, it's just me, myself and I

Solo ride until I die

Cause I got me for life

(Got me for life, yeah)

Oh I don't need a hand to hold

Even when the night is cold

I got that fire in my soul

And as far as I can see I just need privacy

Plus a whole lot of tree fuck all this modesty

I just need space to do me get a world that they're tryna see

A stellar max flow right beside of me

A Ferrari I'm buyin' three

A closet of Saint Laurent, get what I want when I want

Cause hunger is driving me, yeah

I just need to be alone, I just need to be at home

Understand what I'm speaking on if time is money I need a loan

But regardless I'll always keep keepin' on

F@#k fake friends, we don't take L's we just make M's

While y'all follow, we just make trends

I'm right back to work when that break ends

Oh, it's just me, myself and I

Solo ride until I die

Cause I got me for life

(Got me for life, yeah)

Oh I don't need a hand to hold

Even when the night is cold

I got that fire in my soul

I don't need anything to get me through the night

Just the beat that's in my heart

Yeah, it's keeping me alive

(Keeps me alive)

I don't need anything to make me satisfied (you know)

Cause the music fills me good and it gets me every time

Yeah, and I don't like talking to strangers

So get the fuck off me I'm anxious

I'm tryna be cool but I might just go ape shit

Say fuck y'all to all of y'all faces

It changes though now that I'm famous

Everyone knows how this lifestyle is dangerous

But I love it the rush is amazing

Celebrate nightly and everyone rages

I found how to cope with my anger

I'm swimming in money

Swimming in liquor my liver is muddy

But it's all good I'm still sippin' this bubbly

This shit is lovely, this shit ain't random, I didn't get lucky

Made it right here cause I'm sick with it Cudi

They all take the money for granted

But don't want to work for now tell me, isn't it funny?

Oh, it's just me, myself and I

Solo ride until I die

Cause I got me for life

(Got me for life, yeah)

Oh I don't need a hand to hold

Even when the night is cold

I got that fire in my soul

I don't need anything to get me through the night

Just the beat that's in my heart

Yeah, it's keeping me alive

(Keeps me alive)

I don't need anything to make me satisfied (you know)

Cause the music fills me good and it gets me every time

Like ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Ba-ba-ba-da-ba

Cause the music fills me good and it gets me every time

Yeah, lonely nights I laid awake

Pray to lord, my soul to take

My heart's become too cold to break

Know I'm great but I'm broke as hell

Having dreams that I'm folding cake

All my life I've been told to wait

But I'mma get it now it's no debate

Oh, it's just me, myself and I

Solo ride until I die

Cause I got me for life

(Got me for life, yeah)

Oh I don't need a hand to hold

the only and i would hold is a tree walking down a street

Even when the night is cold

I got that fire in my soul

I don't need anything to get me through the night

Just the beat that's in my heart

Yeah, it's keeping me alive

(Keeps me alive)

I don't need anything to make me satisfied (you know)

Cause the music fills me good and it gets me every time

Like ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba that's how it goes every time.

in this song/poem it uses fugitive language by using a simile and Onomatopoeia. In this song it uses a simile as one of the forms of figurative language by saying ''Cause the music fills me good and it gets me every time Like ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba''.(g-easy line 37). This helps the reader relate to this by giving more examples. In this song it also uses Onomatopoeia in this song because it says ''Like ba-ba-ba-ba-da-ba''( g-easy line 37) it uses this form of figurative language because it helps the reader visualize it better. This is why the author uses these forms of figurative language.

shes like a lone wolf because shes solo

let it go

Demi levoto

he snow glows white on the mountain tonight

Not a footprint to be seen.

A kingdom of isolation,

and it looks like I'm the Queen

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

Couldn't keep it in;

Heaven knows I've tried

Don't let them in,

don't let them see

Be the good girl you always have to be

Conceal, don't feel,

don't let them know

Well now they know

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

I don't care

what they're going to say

Let the storm rage on.

The cold never bothered me anyway

It's funny how some distance

Makes everything seem small

And the fears that once controlled me

Can't get to me at all

It's time to see what I can do

To test the limits and break through

No right,

The figurative language in this poem is personification and simile. It says that '' the wind is howling like the swirling storm inside''.(5th line demi levoto ) This shows personification because it gives the wind human characteristics to non living things by saying the wind is howling. In the same line it says'' the wind is howling like the storm inside''. (line 5 demi levoto) in this line it also use a simile in it to create a better picture inside the readers head of the storm. The author used this figurative language in this song/poem to make it easier for the reader to visualize the song better

my dog

by charlie baird

his nose is short and scrubby

his ears hang rather low like a weeping willow

and he always brings the stick back

no matter how far you throw

he gets spanked rather often

for things he shouldnt do

like lying on the bed ,and barking

and eating your shoes that are brand new

he always likes to swim in the cool pool

he splashed around and sometimes looked like a fool

he always wants to be going

where he isn't supposed to go.

he tracks up the house when there is rain or snow

oh puppy i still love you though.

The figurative language in this poem is a simile. in my poem it says''his ears hang rather low like a weeping willow''(line 2 ,charlie). The simile represents how far the dogs ear hangs and gives a comparison of it by saying it looks like a weeping willow to help the readers realize and visualize the dogs ears. That's why i used this form of figurative language.
