Earn and Learn has decided to postpone the launch of the fall 2019 Tulane Cohort.
As we prepare for our next program year, we are deeply excited about the momentum we’ve had this spring around participant recruitment and program growth. However, we have also had a recent, unexpected staff transition. With my impending maternity leave beginning in the next few weeks, we do not feel we have the staff bandwidth to launch the quality of program that our participants deserve on the previously planned August 2019 start date. Currently we have a lean Earn and Learn team and with 2 of 5 members out during the summer we would not be able to fulfill our commitment to our partners, participants, and community. Due to these circumstances, combined with our unwavering commitment to offer high quality experiences to young adults in our city, we’ve had to make a difficult, but necessary, decision to postpone the start of our 2019 program year.
We remain committed to helping young adults obtain career placements in IT and skilled craft fields this fall and are currently working to identify a new start date. As soon as we have more information, we will be reaching out to you all. We are also continuing to run our Construction Trades Pre-apprenticeship program with Gallo Mechanical and our Hospitality Earn and Learn program with Doubletree, Ritz, Brennan’s and Hilton Riverside New Orleans, which are already in-session.
Again, we are deeply sorry about this delay in our start date and any unfulfilled expectations this may cause. We will have more information soon and will connect with you as soon as we do. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
