" A Wrinkle in Time" is about a high school girl (Meg Murry) who is transported through time and space with her younger brother (Charles Wallace) and her friend (Calvin O'Keefe) to rescue her father, a gifted scientist, from the evil forces that hold him prisoner on another planet. It was banned or challenged because of its curriculum or content of the book. Also it has the concept of good and evil which some people think of it as not their religion, because people that good is only good if it matches with your religion.
Challenged at the Polk City, Florida Elementary School because it promotes witchcraft, crystal balls,and demons in 1985.
Challenged in Anniston, Alabama because it uses Jesus Christ with other philosophers,artists, scientists, and religious leaders.
