Come join us for a week of fabulous training in Kerrville Texas this May, for the 2nd TexArt Workshop. And this year there is a very special incentive being offered specifically for all Associate Members of the SAA.

In the past 56 years of the Society of Animal Artists, we have never had such comprehensive Training Workshops like this to help members improve their skills. If you love to paint or sculpt birds & animals… where in the whole world can you go to get such expert training?

HiTech Facilities allow instructors to include diverse state-of-the-art training materials in cool new ways.

In order to help our Associate Members even more, this year there are 10 TexArt Scholarships that SAA is offering to the first 10 Associate Members who register.

The first 10 ASSOCIATE MEMBERS who sign up for the workshop, will receive a $500 scholarship! These Scholarships will actually be awarded in Kerrville during the workshop in order to help with your individual expenses. These Special Scholarships for our ASSOCIATE MEMBERS were made possible because of a bequeath from the long time SAA member, award-winning sculptor - Mariyn Newmark.

The SAA wants to encourage the very best from our Associate Members, so that they will achieve full Signature Level Membership faster.

NOTE: Scholarships will actually be awarded at the TexArt Workshop. You must be registered and in attendance in Kerrville to take advantage of this very special offering.

All artists attending this Workshop, both SAA members and Non SAA attendees, can bring along a portfolio of your current work for a positive review by one of the instructors or another Signature Member of the SAA. They will be happy to offer suggestions on a one-to-one basis to help you move your work to a higher level. All the instructors have years of experience to pass along in a personal, intimate face to face setting outside of class time. So take advantage of this opportunity!

It’s time to take a Workshop… get some valuable training… improve your skills… and push forward on your path to full Signature Membership.

When Leonardo Da Vinci was only 14 years old he entered the Workshop of a famous master of his day… Verrocchio, in Florence, Italy. It was in Verrocchio’s Workshop that Leonardo apprenticed for 5-6 years… along with a half dozen other talented artists of the day including Botticelli. And it was in this apprenticeship in Verrocchio’s famous workshop that Da Vinci was also exposed to a wide range of additional skills such as chemistry, metallurgy, plaster casts, working with metal, precise drafting skills, mechanics, carpentry, and leather work, in addition to the traditional artistic skills of drawing, painting, and sculpture. And here we are more than 500 years from the days of Leonardo DaVinci. Yet the ways artists refine their skills is not that different. The best way is to find various masters of styles and mediums that complement your own skills… and train with them. And that’s the purpose of the TexArt Workshop… to provide artists with a wonderful group of gifted artist instructors and a large variety of various artistic skills and procedures to work on and refine.

Register Today ! If you act quickly… you might get one of these $500 Scholarships that are still left. But they won’t last much longer.
